    Don’t forget that blueberries are a great source of resveratrol, too. And strangely so are peanuts. However, the reason that supplement manufacturers use Japanese Knotweed is not because it is cheaper or less healthy, it’s because Japanese Knotweed will grow anywhere.

    13 states have it listed as an invasive plant. Even when you try to kill it, the roots will re-root themselves and start a new plant. It’s the same resveratrol compound found in red wine and blueberries, just from a less “exciting” source.
